Attenuation

This circuit is used to decrease the amplitude of input signal. For example: We must to be interfaced an input voltage range 0 V – 5 V into an analog-to-digital converter which has an input voltage range of 0 V to 3 V. The following examples show how to configure the op-amp circuit to solve the attenuation problems at difference situations.

Vin = 0–5V, Vout = 0–3V

Vin = 0–10V, Vout = 0–3V

Vin = AC220V (±311V), Vout = 0–3V
